The BOWS were established in 2017 as a Facebook Group to create a forum for Open Water swimmers located in Port Phillip Bay, Victoria.

Now with over 3,000 members the the BOWS have taken the next step to become  an incorporated, non-for profit organisation to further promote, recognise and celebrate Open  Water Swimming around the Bay.

As a club, BOWS plans to host Open Water Swim events with set distances, adventure swims enjoying the coastline and provide a social hub for all its members on this site.
